Bookseller/Diagram Prize for Oddest Title of the Year

Perhaps some of you have seen in the news recently that The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification was named the Oddest Title this year. Take a look at past winners.

My favorites:

2004 - Bombproof Your Horse

2002 - Living with Crazy Buttocks

1996 - Greek Rural Postmen and their Cancellation Numbers

1992 - How to Avoid Huge Ships

1989 - How to Shit in the Woods: An Environmentally Sound Approach to a Lost Art (searching for this in the library catalog, I discovered that someone had constructed a subject heading for "Defecation -- Handbooks, manuals, etc."

1988 - Versailles: The View from Sweden

1984 - The Book of Marmalade: Its Antecedents, Its History, and Its Role in the World Today

1980
- The Joy of Chickens

1984 - The Madam as Entrepreneur: Career Management in House Prostitution
(searching for this, I found the subject heading "Prostitution -- United States -- Vocational guidance." What's worse is that we have it in the undergraduate library).

do you have "how to avoid huge ships" in your undergraduate library?

that has to be an allegory for something...

No, we don't. It appears to actually be a book by the captain of a huge ship giving advice to small boats about how to get out of the way:
