Great article from Slate...

...by Jacob Weisberg about politikspeak and Iraq:
"The disciplined [presidential candidates], like Hillary Clinton, carefully avoid acknowledging reality. The more candid, like John McCain and Barack Obama, sometimes blurt out the truth, but quickly apologize."
Not that almost all of Slate's articles aren't great.

I promise to stop riding my dual high horses - the idiocy of Iraq and social conservatism - in my next post, when I examine canonicity in light of two of D.H. Lawrence's novels - Women in Love and Lady Chatterley's Lover.

In other news, I had my last exam EVAH today! Congratulate me. And if anyone says anything about future advanced degrees right now, I'll smack them.
