What do PHC and Gitmo have in common?

Well, a lot probably, but in particular...

SYSCO!!!

Slate (again) has an enlightening article on Sysco's monopoly of the food service industry. Memories were stirred by this description of a chicken breast:

"While it looks natural, it consists of parts of other chicken breasts mashed together into a single, chicken-breastlike block."

And hamsters! Don't forget the hamsters! But, seriously, we all knew what we were getting in college cafeterias. The joke is on the people who pay $8 for a slice of cake we passed up in the dining hall.
